JAYBA is looking for umpires for the 2010 season. We currently use umpires at the A, AA and Senior boys levels, along with the Junior girls and Senior girls levels. We also might use umpires in some Rookies games for training purposes. Umpires must attend training before the season starts. Umpires must be at least 12 years old. Umpires also cannot umpire games at the same age level they are (example, 12 years old cannot umpire AA, Senior boys or Senior girls games).

Umpire pay is as follows:
Senior boys- home plate $30 per game
                        field ump $20 per game
A, AA, JG,SG-  home plate $25 per game
                        field ump    $20 per game

In accordance with other neighboring baseball associations, if an umpire is schedule for a game and does not show up (without finding a replacement), they will not only forfeit the pay for that game, they will also be penalized $20 as a fine. This is a deterrent to prevent no shows. JAYBA will take into account last minute emergencies and make adjustments to this policy.
