As our registration period draws to a close on February 29, 2020, we still have open roster spots. We are currently looking for 6 girls to add to our Rookie Girls (machine-pitch) league to form 2 teams. Girls in this program are in grades 1st-3rd. We have 3 open spots remaining for our Junior Girls program as well.
If your daughter is already signed up, or waitlisted, for our Rookie girls program and would like to move up to our Junior girls program, that would be great. The Rookie girls team has 14 on the roster and 2 waitlisted. If 3 girls move up, we can fill out the Junior rosters and the Rookie roster will have 13 players. This change would help balance out all three teams. Please let me know and I will make the necessary changes. If you choose to take advantage of this option, it will increase your daughters playing time and allow her an extra year in Junior girls, giving her a great advantage to learn and play softball.
If you know of a few more girls that would like to play either Rookie or Junior girls softball, please let them know we are looking to fill these spots and close registration.
Jackson Baseball/Softball is now including some new gear for the girls in 2020.
Starting in 2020, the Jackson softball teams will all get new infield facemasks. We have purchased 5 new facemasks for each girl's softball team. While the masks are not a requirement, we hope your child will feel a bit safer on the diamonds.
If you haven't registered, please register ASAP, spots are filling fast.

Jackson Area Youth Baseball Association (JAYBA) & Jackson J-Hawks
Jackson Area Youth Baseball Association (JAYBA or Jackson Baseball) hosts monthly meetings to discuss all topics relevant to the league and league operations. Our Board meetings range from an hour to an hour and a half and occur the first Tuesday of each month both during the season and offseason. We discuss both the Jackson Baseball program (TBall, Baseball, & Softball), the Jackson J-Hawks program, and other relevant topics related to our program. Our organization works together to collaborate on all necessary elements of both programs with the goal of delivering a superior baseball/softball/tball experience for the entire community.
Moving forward we would like to post our monthly agendas for you all to see., they will be located under the Documents tab, under Agendas. Our goal is to be transparent and upfront about the issues we face every season. Topics range from annual fees, league opponents, field improvements, Town Hall relationships, and much more. We encourage you to read the agendas and offer feedback on the relevant topics. Additionally, we encourage everyone to offer positive or corrective feedback on the program and ways to improve it. If you have any questions about any of the topics, please feel free to reach out to us for more information.
