Field 1 Update

Hi JAYBA Families,

Good morning. I hope everyone had a pleasant Mothers Day weekend, the weather sure was nice. Saturday was a BUSY day for the field project. A shout out to Dave Klug for taking on this massive task, Dave installed all 80 yards of baseball mix on field 1. Now we have to let that dirt dry out a bit before top-dressing the field with the Magic mix. Unfortunately, the field will not be open for games this week.  As of now, I think field 1 is playable for practices, but not games. Please be careful by the field, please stay out of the dirt. The biggest factor in this project is weather, so let us all hope and pray for nice weather so we can get this field project completed.

We are hoping to get this field completed on May 16th or 17th.

In the meantime, we will have to make some adjustments to the schedule. The J-Hawks have games scheduled on Field 1, they need to be moved to Field 3. The practices scheduled on field 3 can either use field 1, the grassy areas, or the batting cages. I apologize for this disruption, I will do my best to get things back to normal as soon as humanly possible. If you have questions or concerns, please email me directly.

Thank you,

Greg

League Updates

Hi JAYBA & J-Hawks Families,

Good morning and Happy Friday. I hope everyone is ready for the weather to warm up and baseball/softball to get started. This week we had a lot of families at the park and we were able to play a bit of baseball, which is great! I wanted to provide a few updates and reminders for everyone.

1. Uniforms - Uniforms will be in soon, hopefully in next couple of weeks. We will try to get the to the coaches and they will distribute to the team. Uniforms include hat, shirt, and socks. Please find light grey pants to complete the uniform.

2. Concessions - We have been attempting to get concessions open earlier this year. In years past, we opened when the JAYBA game season started, this year we opened a little earlier. We are planning to be open next week, please try to support the concession stand, all proceeds support the league.

3. Field 1 - Division Rd. We will be expanding the infield on Field 1. The infield will be expanded to accomodate up to 90' bases. The field construction will begin this weekend and hopefully wrap up pretty quickly. The weather is a big factor, we will see how it goes.

4. Raffle Tix - Please pick up your raffle tickets at the concession stand. If you have not paid for them, please go online and pay for the raffle tickets prior to picking them up.

5. SportsSignUpPlay App - The app is a great tool when it works. I found that if you logout and then log back in, the teams refresh and the schedule was accurate. If you aren't familar with this app, please look for SportsSignUp Play in the app store.

6. Parking - Please park in a single lane along the driveway. Also, the parking lot is open. Please do not park next to the pavillion. This area is reserved for concession worker, deliveries, and handicapped parking.

7. Brewers Little League Night - I will be posting the flyer on the website under "documents". The game is June 21st. We would love to have a big group going to the game. The players and coaches should wear their uniforms to the game, they will get the chance to walk on the field prior to the game. The tickets are discounted and this is a fundraiser for our league, please consider supporting this event. Details to follow. Jason Hammersmith is the coordinator for this event, if you have questions please email

8. Picture day - The picture day is scheduled for June 12th. I will be posting a schedule in the coming week so that everyone knows when they will need to arrive. The pictures should go quick, 20 mins max. We NEED Team pictures for the sponsor plaques, individual photos are also available. We will be working VIP for photos.

9. Volunteering - Please sign up to volunteer for our tournaments, we really need help for these two events. Check the main page for the links. If you have questions, please reach out to Jodi Smith at jodi_bruski@hotmail.com.

That is all for now. Thank you very much for supporting this league and our commmunity. We are a 501c3 non-profit, if you know of community events or people in the community that need help or support, please let me know.

Thank you,

Greg Winn
